Welcome to this  brief history of the Duruokpalanne Amanfo dynasty. The Amanfo family is one of the largest families existing in the south eastern part of Nigeria.

It is natural to feel an interest in ones lineage and history, especially when it has to do with noble deeds  and assists in transmitting  inheritance to the succeding generation.

 

I consider it a great honor to write about this great family. It is impossible for me to cover even the smallest part of  it as many years have passed with many older members of the family gone without leaving proper records.Many informations  of the past and present story of this royal family are omitted due to lack of many archivial records or innability to trace some of the ancestral records. This brief history will be updated from time to time, based on records available.

 

 Inspite of the foregoing, here is the ancestral lineage, history and kingship succession of a man who lived and reigned in Awo-omamma nearly 152 years ago.!!
